How Merciheart Handles Funds
A Commitment to Stewardship
At Merciheart, we understand that every donation represents more than money — it represents faith, trust, and a desire to see lives transformed through the Gospel. That's why we approach every contribution with a deep sense of responsibility. Our goal is not simply to facilitate giving, but to ensure that every gift is handled with integrity, transparency, and accountability.
We Are Not Built for Profit
Merciheart is not designed as a profit-driven platform.
We do not exist to maximize revenue from donations. Instead, we exist to:
Every decision we make around funds is guided by one question:
Does this honor the mission and the trust placed in us?
A Simple 1.5% Administrative Fee
To keep Merciheart running effectively, we apply a 1.5% administrative fee to donations.
This small percentage is not taken for profit, but to support essential operations such as:
We have intentionally kept this fee as low as possible, so that the overwhelming majority of every donation goes directly to the mission it was intended for.
Payment Processing Fees
In addition to our administrative fee, third-party payment providers such as Stripe and Paystack process all transactions on the platform.
These providers charge their own payment processing fees, which are standard for secure online payments.
As a result, the total amount received by a missionary may be slightly lower than the original donation. These fees are not controlled by Merciheart.
However, using trusted processors ensures Secure transactions, Fraud protection and Reliable global payment handling
Supporting Merciheart Directly
In addition to supporting mission projects, donors also have the option to give directly to Merciheart through our dedicated giving page.
These contributions help us:
These gifts are vital in ensuring that Merciheart continues to serve both missionaries and donors effectively.
A Volunteer-Driven Mission
Every member of the Merciheart team serves on a volunteer basis.
We are not driven by salaries or financial incentives. Instead, we are united by a shared calling to serve the global Church, to support those on the mission field and to see the Gospel reach every corner of the world
This means that the platform is built on service, not self-interest.
Responsible Fund Distribution
Funds raised on Merciheart are not always withdrawn all at once.
Instead, withdrawals are released in stages based on donation milestones. This approach helps to encourage responsible fund management, maintain accountability and build long-term trust between donors and missionaries
As funds are used, missionaries are expected to provide:
This allows donors to clearly see how funds are being used, what progress is being made and the real-world impact of their generosity
Transparency Builds Trust
We believe that transparency is not optional — it is essential.
That's why Merciheart is built to provide:
Giving should never feel uncertain.
It should feel clear, meaningful, and connected to real impact.
